[Chairman of the Joint Staff council]

The Japanese Defence Agency changed the name to Ministry of Defence on Jan 9 2007. The Chairman of the Joint Staff is now the Chief of the Joint Staff.

The Ministry of Defence adopted a logo. The blue represents the earth and green for the ministry.
